Privacy policy
In effect since July 30, 2026
This policy explains what happens to what you write in the assistant that answers on this site and on the sites we build for our clients. It is written to be understood, not to cover us.

What data we take
Only what it takes to help you:
- What you write in the chat. The questions and answers in the conversation are stored.
- The name and contact detail you leave, if at some point you ask to be contacted. Depending on the business, that is an email or a phone number. We never ask for it before it is needed.
- Your IP address, and not in the clear. We store it turned into an irreversible code (a salted hash), which lets us count how many conversations start from the same place and stop abuse. That record is deleted after two days. The original IP is never stored.
We do not ask for ID documents or card details, and we do not build a profile of you for advertising. We do not sell or hand data to anyone outside the list below.
What we use it for
Two things, and nothing else:
- Answering you. The assistant reads the business information and your question, and replies.
- Telling the business owner that you want to be contacted. When the conversation cools down, they get an email with the chat and the contact detail you left, so they can reply without you having to repeat everything.
Who else processes it
The assistant does not run on its own: it relies on third-party services, and several of them process the information outside Uruguay, mainly in the United States. These are all of them, and what each one does:

What you write in the chat is sent to Google’s AI model so it can write the reply. It is the only way the assistant can work, and we would rather say it in this table than bury it in a sentence.
Google fonts
The chat window loads its typeface from Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com). To do that, your browser connects to Google, and on that connection Google sees your IP address. We cannot avoid it while the typeface is served from there. We are working on serving the typeface from our own domain so that connection stops existing. In the meantime, it is stated here.
Cookies
The assistant does not use cookies. It keeps your conversation number in the browser’s session storage, which is what lets the chat continue if you move between pages, and it is deleted on its own when you close the tab. There is no cross-site tracking and no advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- The record of the hashed IP: two days.
- The conversation and the contact detail: as long as the business remains our client, because those are their enquiries and their customers. If you write asking us to delete yours, we delete it.
Your rights
Uruguayan data protection law 18.331 gives you the right to know what data of yours we hold, correct it, and ask us to delete it. To exercise it, write to info@vortexlabsia.com telling us which site you wrote from and roughly when, so we can find it. We reply within five business days.
If you also want to complain, the supervisory authority in Uruguay is the Personal Data Regulatory and Control Unit (URCDP).
If you are writing from the European Union or the United Kingdom, the same rights apply to you and the same address handles them.
Minors
The assistant is built to handle commercial enquiries from adults. We do not ask for or seek data from minors. If we are told a minor’s data was submitted, we delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes. We do not send an email about it because we do not have your email unless you left it.
